Lizet Chávez is a Peruvian award-winning actor, filmmaker, and performance maker with a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and collaborative projects. She trained at the prestigious Jacques Lecoq International School of Theatre in France and holds a BA in Media Studies from San Martín de Porres University in Peru, as well as an MA in Performance Making from Goldsmiths, University of London. In 2025, she was awarded Best Actress at FIXION Fest (Chile) for her lead performance in Quadrilateral (2022), recognising her outstanding work in genre cinema. Since 2007, Lizet has worked across theatre, film, and television, with roles in Quadrilateral (2022), Starched Collars (2020), The Erection of Toribio Bardelli (2023) and The Best Families (2019). She has also served as an acting coach on acclaimed Peruvian productions, including Contigo Capitán (2022), Starched Collars (2020), and Billy Elliot (Peru). Her directorial debut, the documentary Walking Our Way (2024), reflects her dedication to socially engaged storytelling. She also creates experimental and hybrid works, such as A dream (2023), and a podcast exploring literature, sound, and dialogue. Alongside her artistic practice, Lizet has contributed to several cross-cultural research and creative projects between the UK and Latin America, focused on mental health, social action, and historical memory. She has taken on various roles in these initiatives — including that of Project Manager — combining her creative insight with strategic coordination and leadership. Her work often blends personal narratives with broader social themes, bridging creative expression and meaningful content.
